How to Request Account Deletion

You can submit an account deletion request in the following ways:

Method 1: Submit via the official website

Follow the prompts to verify your information. Once submitted, the request is complete.

Method 2: Submit via the app

Open the app, go to "My Account" > "Account" > "Delete Account," and follow the prompts to submit the request.

Method 3: Submit via email

Please use the email address you used to register your account and send an email to:

Please indicate "Request to Delete Account" in the email subject line.

Please include your username or registered email address in the email body so we can verify your identity.

1.Definitions

For clarity, the following terms are used in this Policy:

Processing: Means any operation or set of operations performed on personal information, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, storage, adaptation, retrieval, use, disclosure, dissemination, erasure, or destruction.

We/Company: Refers to BRICK BRIDGE COMPANY LTD.

You/User: Refers to any natural person who registers, logs in, or uses the services of the App in any manner, including borrowers, potential borrowers, and other users of the App's functionalities.

2. How We Collect Your Personal Information

To achieve the core functionalities of the App (including but not limited to loan application, review, disbursement, repayment, and user services), we will collect your personal information in accordance with the principles of legality, legitimacy, and necessity. The specific scope and methods are as follows:

Identity and Basic Loan Information

Scope of Collection: When you apply for a loan, we will collect necessary information through designated forms, including: name, BVN number (for real-name verification), contact details (mobile number, address), occupation and income information, bank account details.

Purpose of Processing: For identity verification, credit assessment, matching suitable loan plans, completing loan review, fund disbursement, repayment management, and ensuring transaction security.

Rough Location

Scope of Collection: As required by the service, we may collect approximate location information of your device (typically based on IP address or mobile network information, not precise GPS coordinates).

Purpose of Processing: To recommend appropriate loan products considering local market conditions and for anti-fraud and compliance verification.

SMS Content Access Permission

Usage Scenario and Scope: To assess your creditworthiness for providing a customized loan solution, upon your explicit authorization, we will only scan SMS content containing specific financial keywords, locally on your device for credit assessment analysis. We do not collect or upload your entire SMS history.

Data Retention: Original assessment data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 24 hours after loan approval is completed.

Specific financial keywords:[NAIR, REDI, MONI, DUE, PAY, LAIRA, KASH, FINANCE, FUND, MONEY, LOAN, LEND, CASH, WALLET, DEBT, Arbitrage, Amortization, Liquidity, Fiduciary]

Application Information

Scope of Collection: application list information (limited to apps you have actively installed from app stores, excluding pre-installed native apps on the device)

Purpose of Processing: For device identification, risk assessment (e.g., detecting high-risk apps, virtual devices to prevent fraud), protecting account security, and optimizing the App's compatibility and performance.

Device Information

Scope of Collection: To safeguard your funds and data security and to optimize service experience, we may collect: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (e.g., IMEI)

Purpose of Processing: For device identification, risk assessment (e.g., detecting high-risk apps, virtual devices to prevent fraud), protecting account security, and optimizing the App's compatibility and performance.

Contact Information

Usage Scenario: Primarily used as a backup contact method in emergency situations (e.g., when we cannot reach you directly) to verify your loan application information.

Purpose of Processing: Used solely for necessary communications related to the loan service. We commit not to harass you or your contacts without cause.

3. How We Use Your Personal Information

We will only use your personal information for the following purposes, strictly adhering to the "data minimization" principle:

Providing and Optimizing Core Services: To complete the loan application process, including identity verification, credit assessment, fund disbursement, repayment processing, and customer service.

Risk Management and Compliance: To monitor abnormal transactions (e.g., overdue payments, account theft), implement risk control measures, and cooperate with lawful investigations by regulatory or judicial authorities (e.g., anti-money laundering, anti-fraud).

Service Notifications and Optimization: To send you necessary service-related notifications (e.g., repayment reminders, system maintenance announcements); and to optimize product features and service processes based on aggregated data.

Personalized Recommendations: Subject to your consent (where you have not opted out), we may recommend loan products or promotional activities that meet your needs based on your borrowing history, repayment behavior.

4. How We Protect and Store Your Personal Information

Security Measures: We employ industry-standard technical and organizational measures (such as encryption in transit, access controls, security audits) to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Data Transmission and Storage: All collected personal information is transmitted to our servers via encrypted protocols such as HTTPS. Data is stored on servers located within Nigeria.

Retention Period: We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy. Following loan settlement, your personal information will be anonymized within 7 days, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Cross-Border Data Transfer: Currently, we store all user data within Nigeria. Should cross-border transfer become necessary for business operations in the future, we will strictly comply with Applicable Laws by obtaining your explicit consent and implementing adequate safeguards.

5. Your Rights Regarding Personal Information

In accordance with Applicable Laws, you have the following rights concerning your personal information. You may exercise these rights by contacting us as specified in Section 8 ("Contact Us"):

Right to Access and Rectification: You have the right to access and obtain a copy of your personal information held by us. If you find the information to be inaccurate or incomplete, you may request its correction or supplementation. We will respond to such requests within 15 working days of receipt.

Right to Deletion: You may request the deletion of your personal information under the following circumstances:

Right to Withdraw Consent: For processing based on your consent (e.g., marketing communications), you may withdraw your consent at any time by disabling the relevant permissions in the App's "Settings - Privacy Settings." Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Right to Restrict Processing: If you dispute the lawfulness of our processing, you may request the restriction of such processing until the dispute is resolved.

Right to Object: You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on our legitimate interests (e.g., risk monitoring). We will cease the relevant processing and provide our reasoning.

6. Protection of Minors' Information

We do not provide products or services to minors under the age of 18 and do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, we will promptly delete such information.

Updated versions will be notified to you via in-App pop-up notifications and/or messages sent to your registered mobile number/email. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. If you do not agree, you have the right to discontinue use.
